Ding-Ding!

Somewhere in your life, you have decided that the bell has rung, ding-ding.  It triggers something deep inside you that tells you today is not the same as yesterday. And it is the beginning of a journey that which will turn your life around.
And it is not about any positive thinking and what you think will make a better life, but it is simply the fact that you know there is a possibility in front of you that you must be present to, or to rise up to the challenge so to speak.  Something is at stake here, so what must I do now, to get to where I want to be? And suddenly you are filled with a sense of nxiety, and excitement of what the outcome of this decision may be. The bell rang for me a couple of weeks ago, in fact I decided on Nov 22, 2006,  that I am going to start the Real Rocky Challenge, to publish my book online within a month, and to get people from around the world to contribute their real rocky stories to my blog in conjunction with the premiere of Rocky VI and as a tribute to the Rocky spirit within us.  The journey so far has been exciting and a bit of a learning curve for me from buying a domain name and host to set up my website.
I also have had many sleepless nights trying to write the perfect copy, which I found doesn’t work. To produce results you just have to do it.
Now I am just me, myself and I pouring out my thoughts in this blog to share with the world what I going through moment by moment as I embark on this impossible challenge, and an incredible dream, which I will most likely to fail.
And strangely, today, 12 days before the launch of Rocky 6 on Dec 22, 2006, everything starts to sink in, and I am not writing as in what I should or should not do, but just being present to the “now” and describing the picture as it is, where I stand now in context of my whole life and what stands before me.
In my life I have always believed in the right thing – what is deep, inspiring and thoughtful, but this moment it is just me. No hopes. No dreams. Just what is present.
In the past I probably would phrase it as what do you want to achieve in life, what is important to you, who do you love, what do you really want?
But tonight is not about coming out with the night to answer those fancy questions. It is about taking action to do what needs to be done in this final round, to confront myself and confront reality. And to make progess – even an inch is better than nothing
